Empowering Indiana’s Energy Future

The Indiana Nuclear Power Association (INPA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the role of nuclear energy in powering a stronger, cleaner, and more resilient Indiana. Headquartered in downtown Indianapolis, INPA unites business leaders, engineers, policymakers, and community advocates around one shared goal: ensuring Indiana remains at the forefront of American energy innovation.

Our Mission

To promote smart, clean, and reliable energy for Hoosiers by supporting the growth and modernization of nuclear power in Indiana’s energy mix. INPA works to create the policy, business, and public understanding necessary for nuclear technology to thrive—benefiting our state’s economy, environment, and energy security.

What We Do

Advocate: Support pragmatic legislation and regulation that enable safe and efficient nuclear development.

Educate: Provide resources and programs to inform Hoosiers, businesses, and lawmakers about the benefits of nuclear energy.

Collaborate: Build partnerships among utilities, manufacturers, research institutions, and local governments to expand energy innovation.

Advance Innovation: Promote emerging technologies such as small modular reactors (SMRs), microgrids, and advanced fuel systems that can power Indiana’s next generation of growth.

Our Values

Integrity: We ground every initiative in transparency and public trust.

Practical Leadership: We focus on solutions that make sense for Indiana’s economy and people.

Innovation: We believe progress in energy technology drives prosperity.

Collaboration: We bring industry, government, and citizens together toward shared success.

Our Vision

A future where Indiana leads the Midwest in clean-energy production, where nuclear power complements renewables, strengthens our electric grid, attracts investment, and delivers affordable power to every Hoosier community.
